miss celine dion

I can't believe that just a week ago I was just getting home from seeing Celine Dion. In real life. I have been putting off the post because I honestly feel that words cannot describe this experience. OH MY GOSH. Amazing. Here we are after the show, looking slightly sweaty.

Jess and I spent the whole day together, mostly preparing mentally. When we finally headed up to Salt Lake, we didn't speak the entire car ride up. We were so nervous that something was going to happen on the way there, worried that anything could ruin our chance to finally see her. Luckily, we got there completely safe. We were so excited we didn't even know what to say to each other. As most people were just acting as if this was just any old concert and going through security like normal, Jess and I were both smiling ear to ear, greeting each guard with extreme excitement. We made our way down to our seats (Floor 1, 14th row... ya...just a few feet away from her) and just sat there waiting and waiting for the show to start. When Celine finally came out, I feel like I turned into a different person. I have never in my life acted the way I did. I remember at times I was just bent half over, holding my head and feeling like I was in a dream. I'm serious.  I was screaming. And so was Jess.

We loved every minute of the show. After only a few songs we ran to the front and spent the majority of the show ON THE FRONT ROW. Yes, on the front row. I felt like such a lucky girl, so happy for Jess and I to finally have this night together. We had waited so long. Celine was hilarious and continued to crack me up through out the show (she totally thinks she is a rock star) (this particular outfit below was not necessarily my favorite.. I mean c'mon Celine... Rhinestones down your crotch? yucky). But I still love her.

Celine said goodbye and surprised us with "River Deep Mountain High", which was my favorite song from her show in Vegas. Jess and I have all the dance moves memorized. I was so freaking out at that point. I love that song so much and the fact that she surprised everyone with it really had me going crazy. I was telling people around me that I didn't even know... that I had been crossing my fingers just hoping she would sing this. Oh my gosh it was the best!!!!

She also sang "Eyes on Me" which is my favorite song from her newest CD. She surprised us after a second goodbye and ended the show with "My Heart Will Go On" (in a beautiful dress) which was just unreal. Since we were on the front row for most of the show, we totally made friends with some of the guitarist as they sat and laughed at our dance moves. They were so sweet and even waved bye to us when the show was over. It was absolutely a beautiful night. A dream come true.
