trudy's nursery

i haven't posted forever and i really wanted to post the nursery tonight. so i hurried and snapped a bunch of pictures as the sun was going down and didn't have enough time to take as many as i wanted. so maybe i'll just add some more pictures to this post later on. a lot of things that are in the room are things that we have collected over the past few years. a few important details: we made the pelmet board out of a vintage table cloth i found, i sewed the polka dotted fitted sheet (and another one that is tan and white striped) (yay me!), my mom knew i wanted a bumper pad out of that fabulous gold stuff and surprised me with it, grant spotted that sweet old tricycle at an antique shop a few years ago and after sitting in storage forever... we finally got to pull it out and last but not least, that is my sweet winnie hanging out in the crib! oh and our dresser tutorial is here. i loved finding things for her room and i'm happy with the turn out... however, who knows when i'll let her leave my side and actually sleep in here!
trudy's nursery has been revealed at hope studios, tip junkie and sugar bee crafts.

Britt, that nursery is amazing. I love how you pick out every single detail of every single thing. I don't have that kind of focus that's for sure! Also, Trudy is adorable and looks just like you! I am so happy for you!

It's absolutely darling, Brittany! Are those cross stiches on either side of the window? I'm in love with the pops of red flowers and the trike and basically everything. Did Grant make the distressed wood shelf?

Post more photos of the rest of your house. It's so fun to see what you guys have done. AND post more photos of Trudy, of course. What a little sweet heart!

I really love this nursery and your design choices, so cute! I hate to be a debbie downer though, but are you not worried about the bumper pad with all the warnings coming out about them? They have some great breathable options out there, for a newborn. Your lovely stuffed one would be great for an older infant though!

Well Brooke, I'm not sure you read what I wrote about the crib but my newborn doesn't sleep in the crib and won't for a few months. Thanks for being so concerned though.

I love that feeling of having your nursery all ready and perfect for your new baby!

I also put my bumpers up before the baby came so the room looked complete while he slept in the cradle :)
