santa luke

we spent the weekend with the barnes/wood family up at aspen grove. soldier's hollow is still my favorite place to go in the winter, the tubing is so. much. fun. but really the whole weekend was fun. and quite eventful... family pictures, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, playing games, yummy food etc. on saturday night we had a small devotional followed by a family activity that i will never forget. each of us were paired up and given $100. we spent that night at walmart, finding our own special person or family to give the money to. while we were observing different prospects, we kept ending up in the right place at the right time and catching different families open their cards containing the money that our family had given them. it warmed my heart so much, there are no words to describe it. when grant and i finally picked a small little family i could barely smile and say "merry christmas" to them without tearing up. it was just a beautiful feeling. i'm looking forward to spending another christmas with grant and my family and remembering the real meaning of christmas.
