So this past thursday we had visitors! Grant's dad Dave and step mom Traci have been going on a history road trip with Grant's kid brother Luke and his step brothers Connor and Gabe. They pulled into DC Thursday night while Trevor (Grant's step brother.. who is selling down in Virginia Beach) drove up with his girlfriend Heidi who flew out earlier this week. So on Friday and Saturday we were running around DC trying to do everything that we could. I am proud to say that if Grant and I moved home today... I would feel good about how much I've done here in DC. Traci is so organized and arranged a lot of different appointments for us all and they were all pretty much stuff that I haven't done yet (thankyou!). We toured the White House, the Pentagon, the Capitol and SO much more. We went to the International Spy Museum (where I learned that Washington DC has more spies than any where else!). We went to the American Art Museum and Portrait Gallery, the Air and Space Museum, the Library of Congress and then some others that I've already seen.... the Arlington Cemetery, Museum of Natural History, National Archives, the Sculpted Gardens, Navy Memorial, National Gallery of Art and Holocaust Museum. Heidi stayed here and we had some great girly talks. She is super cute, from Orem and went to my high school. She is younger and so I know of her older sister and she knows my little brother.

Where Lincoln was assasinated. A drawing of the Assasination. And actual rewards poster.
This is in the American Art Museum as well, all made from tin foil!
I am a sucker for old stuff. Especially old photos.
My favorite picture at the Portrait Gallery, Katherin Hepburn. One of her trademarks- wearing slacks instead of dresses. Decades before it became fashionable for women to do so. Love the pose. Love the dress.
Grant's birthday dinner with the family.
Grant's presents from his family, some cologne and Kramer t-shirt.
Highlight of the weekend: Luke (aka Gorilla man) trying to pick up Grant (acting dead). I couldn't stop laughing!

HOW FUN! Wish we could have been there with everyone. I am so glad that you got to do a lot of new and fun things. It's true, Traci is ULTRA organized, which makes it nice for people like me :) haha. Anyway, so glad you had visitors!
Haha luke is so funny, I can't help but just smile when I see him in these pictures. And I can see why you can't stop laughing when he does stuff like that with Grant. Haha.
You have seriously done SO MUCH in D.C. that's awesome you can say you feel satisfied!! Glad you had fun with Grant's family too!
And it's such a small world that Heidi Skousen is dating Grant's step-brother, she is a cute girl. Sorry this is freaking long!
ohh looks like so much fun! I can't believe you got to see all that stuff! I'm glad you had a good weekend!
This is Teri and Troy. I (teri) was looking at your blog this afternoon, and had to show troy those cute pictures at the bottom with Grant's brother trying to pick him up. They are too cute, and made me laugh.
Hey, Now this is troy writing, all i know is the kramer t-shirt ROCKS! A quote from the episode, "that is the most disgusting thing i have ever seen, and yet, i cannot look away."
Yes we finally have a blog! If you can't already tell, Sean made it for us...and I am still trying to figure it all out! It looks like you are having such a good time in DC! AND Grant's brother is too dang cute and makes me smile. How fun!
