Aftermath

BRITTANY'S WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS MATERIAL THAT MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR ALL AUDIENCES; PARENTAL DISCRETION IS ADVISED. (She thinks the pictures are gross)

Grant here...

Britt told me that I should wear sunscreen when we went to Virginia Beach. Even though I didn't want to, I thought that she was right. My two choices were SPF 3000 Ultra-Super-Mega-Sun-Blocker or SPF 4 tanning stuff. My dilemma; my pasty body hadn't seen the sun all summer so I knew I'd get burnt if I didn't use a high SPF, BUT since I wanted to put some color on my canvas I didn't want to come away from the beach sunblocked.
So, I went with the SPF 4.

Here are the results the night of the beach...

After 3 days of Britt thinking I was a wuss and overreacting,
my entire back was covered with blisters.

Current Phase -

Phase 1 - extreme burning
Phase 3 - non-stop itching
Phase 2 - a combination of the two; something I call BITCHING

Next time I'll listen to my wife.

I would just like to say...

"SPF 3000 Ultra-Super-Mega-Sun-Blocker" is also known as SPF 45.

OH MY HECK Grant, this seriously looks soooooo painful!! Wow. I am paranoid about putting on sunscreen (mostly with Preston)... better to be safe than sorry! Should have gone with the Ultra-super-mega-sunblocker 3000, or SPF 45, haha. I'm sorry it was so painful, especially while you were out selling all day! 99% of the time your wife is probably right :) Hope you guys had a fun trip though!

That looks so owie! I am not going to lie though, it does look disgusting! You and my husband are the same, fortunately he listened the last time we went boating. He didn't tan, but he didn't get burnt either.

I can't beat that. You win the burn off. I think I threw up a little in my mouth at the sight of those blisters. My poor brother.

I have SPF 75 for my face. Nate complains about that, but we are getting old and can't be burning like that anymore. Looks like you've got some fun peelys though. Try using some Bag Balm to make the dry itchyness go away.
